The history of Wagner began in 1891 in Brunsbüttel on the Schleswig-Holstein coast, where Emil Wagner initially traded in delicatessen. The proximity to port cities brought exquisite ingredients from all over the world, and soon handmade chocolates, truffles, and pralines were created. In 1953, his grandson Reinhard Wagner learned the high art of truffle making in Zurich and brought it back to the family business. Today, Jörg Wagner leads the company in the fourth generation. The pralines are still made fresh daily and by hand, "from the inside out," with Holstein cream and butter. As "happiness makers" from Hameln, we offer these confectionery specialties with great respect for over 130 years of craftsmanship.

What makes a true Wagner truffle

Wagner manufactures its truffles “from the inside out.” The core is created first, then the fine truffle mixture is sealed and coated with a thin layer of chocolate. This exact construction is what differentiates them from industrial mass-produced goods.

How to keep truffles and pralines fresh

To ensure Wagner chocolates retain their melt and shine:

· Store in a cool, dry place away from light: ideally at 14–18 °C, not in the refrigerator · Keep in the original packaging to prevent absorption of foreign odors · Protect from direct heat and sunlight · Enjoy cream truffles more quickly than firmer nougat or marzipan chocolates · Allow to come to room temperature briefly before consuming: this allows the full aroma to develop
